This cookie policy explains how Griffon Webstudios Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on griffonwebstudios.com, and how you control them. Please read it together with our privacy policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as pixels, scripts and browser storage, work in a similar way. We call them all cookies in this policy.

First-party cookies are set by our Site. Third-party cookies are set by other companies whose tools we use, such as Google, Meta and HubSpot.

2. How we ask and how to change your mind

  • Nothing optional runs first. Analytics, marketing and functional cookies only load after you allow them. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the Site needs them.
  • Equal choices. Our banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
  • Change your mind any time. Open Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. When you switch a category off, we delete the cookies from that category that our Site can reach and reload the page.
  • We ask again after 6 months, or sooner if we add a new tool.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal and you have not made a choice, we keep everything optional off and do not show the banner.
  • Browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working.

3. The cookies we use

Each category below lists the cookies its tools can set, who sets them, how long they last and what they do. Third-party durations are the providers’ defaults and can change; we review this list whenever we add or change a tool.

Strictly necessary (always on)

  • gw_consent (Griffon Webstudios, 6 months): remembers your cookie choices.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, during a form check): protects our forms from spam bots. It does not set tracking cookies; it checks technical signals such as your IP address and browser when you use a form.

Analytics (only with your consent)

  • _ga (Google Analytics, 2 years): tells visitors apart so we can count them.
  • _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics, 2 years): keeps track of your visit (session).
  • __hstc (HubSpot, 6 months): records when you visited and how many visits you have made.
  • hubspotutk (HubSpot, 6 months): recognizes your browser and links it to a form you send.
  • __hssc (HubSpot, 30 minutes): tracks the current visit.
  • __hssrc (HubSpot, until you close your browser): tells HubSpot when a new visit starts.

Marketing (only with your consent)

  • _gcl_au (Google Ads, 90 days): measures whether visits from our ads lead to inquiries.
  • _gcl_aw (Google Ads, 90 days): stores the ad click ID when you arrive from a Google ad.
  • _fbp (Meta, 90 days): measures and improves our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • _fbc (Meta, 90 days): stores the ad click ID when you arrive from a Meta ad.
  • Instagram posts (Meta, set by Instagram): our social media page shows live posts from our clients’ Instagram accounts. They only load with marketing consent, or when you press “Show Instagram posts.” Instagram may then set its own cookies.

Functional (only with your consent)

  • messagesUtk (HubSpot, 6 months): remembers you in our live chat so a conversation can pick up where it left off.

4. Fonts, images and videos from other servers

Some parts of our pages load from other companies’ servers, such as fonts from Google Fonts, code libraries from jsDelivr, stock images and videos from Unsplash and Pexels, video thumbnails from YouTube, and the Google reviews on our homepage, which load from Google Maps Platform along with reviewers’ profile pictures. These requests share your IP address and browser details with those companies so they can deliver the content, but they do not set cookies for us.

Videos on our social media page only start loading from YouTube when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

6. Updates to this policy

We update this policy when we add, remove or change a tool. If the change needs your consent, we ask again through the banner.
