Link building services

Links that build authority

A few strong links from sites your buyers read can lift rankings more than hundreds of weak ones, and the wrong links can hold a site back. Our link building services start by screening every backlink you have in Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz and Google Search Console, then earn new ones through digital PR, guest posts, local partners and outreach. As a link building agency inside a full SEO team, we point every link at a page that is ready to rank.

What our link building services look for in every link

Link building is earning links from other websites to yours. Search engines read those links as references, so who links to you, from what page and with what words still shapes where you rank. Many link building packages sell a set number of links each month, but a count says little about value. Three things decide whether a link helps.

01

Relevance

A site your customers or your industry actually read, linking from a page about the same topic.

We find it
02

Trust

Sites search engines already trust, checked in Ahrefs, Semrush and Moz before we pitch them.

We vet it
03

A reason to link

Data, guides and expert commentary that give editors a real reason to cite you.

We earn it

Why Griffon as your link building agency: we clean before we build. Every campaign starts with a backlink audit that screens your existing links in Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz and Google Search Console, and a person reviews each flagged link before anything is removed or disavowed. The same team runs your SEO and content, so new links land on pages ready to rank.

How we screen and disavow toxic links

Our SEO services ↗

01 / 03

Screening

We pull every backlink from Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz and Google Search Console, merge them into one list and flag the patterns that look manipulative: link networks, hacked pages, scraped copies and keyword-stuffed anchors.

Step 1 · Backlink audit

Four tools, one list

02 / 03

Manual review

No tool score decides on its own. Your strategist checks each flagged domain by hand, keeps the links that are merely weak, and asks site owners to take down the harmful ones first.

Step 2 · Toxic link review

Every flag checked by a person

Disavow

When a manual action or a clear pattern of manipulative links calls for it, we write the disavow file, upload it in Google Search Console and note why every line is there. If your site doesn’t need one, we say so.

Step 3 · Disavow file

Only when it’s warranted

FAQ

Questions about link building services, answered

Link building services earn links from other websites to yours, through digital PR, guest posts, local partners and outreach. Good link building also includes checking the links you already have and cleaning up the ones that could hurt you.

Yes. Links remain one of the ways search engines judge which pages to trust. What has changed is that a few relevant links from real sites now count for far more than large numbers of weak ones.

It is a label SEO tools use for links that look manipulative or spammy, such as links from link networks, hacked pages or sites built only to sell links. Google does not use the term, and it ignores many of these links on its own, which is why every flag needs a human review.

We pull your backlinks from Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz and Google Search Console, merge them into one list and look at Semrush’s Toxicity Score, Ahrefs’ Domain Rating, Moz’s Spam Score and the patterns behind each link. A person then reviews every flagged domain before we decide what to do.

Most sites don’t. Google’s own guidance is to disavow only when you have a considerable number of spammy or artificial links and they have caused, or are likely to cause, a manual action. If your audit doesn’t show that, we tell you and leave your profile alone.

A plain text file you upload in Google Search Console that lists the domains or pages you want Google to ignore when it assesses links to your site. We note why each line is there, so the file can be reviewed and updated later.

It can if good links are disavowed by mistake. That is why no tool score decides on its own, and why we ask site owners to remove harmful links before we disavow anything.

Rarely. Google ignores most spammy links on its own. If a sudden wave of spam lines up with a drop in traffic, we investigate the cause and disavow only if the pattern calls for it.

We audit the full profile, request removals, disavow what can’t be removed, document the cleanup and help you file a reconsideration request in Google Search Console.

Through digital PR and responses to journalist requests, guest posts on relevant sites, local citations and partners, and broken link outreach. Every target site is screened before we pitch it.

A link from a relevant, trusted site, placed in content its readers actually use, pointing to a page on your site that helps them. Where the link sits and why it exists matter more than any single metric.

New links usually take weeks to be found and counted, and their effect on rankings builds over months. Your plan sets expectations by page and keyword before work starts.

It depends on how competitive your market is, how many links your pages need and how much content has to be created to earn them. We scope the work after the audit and put the monthly cost in your proposal.

A monthly report lists each new link, the site and page it came from, the page it supports and its status, plus any new links we flagged and what we did about them. You also get a progress update every week.

Digital PR earns coverage and links by giving journalists and editors something worth covering: original data, expert commentary or a timely story. It is one of the most reliable ways to earn links from trusted news and industry sites.
