What it is

What schema markup services include

Schema markup is code, usually JSON-LD, that labels the facts on a page: this is the business, this is its address, these are its services, this is a question and its answer. It uses the shared vocabulary from Schema.org, which Google, Bing and other search engines support. Visitors never see it, but it removes guesswork for the systems that read your site.

Structured data helps search engines understand a page, and it can make pages eligible for some rich results, like product details and breadcrumb trails. Eligibility is not a promise: Google decides what to show, and it retires features over time, as it did with FAQ rich results in 2026. Google also says no special markup is needed for its AI features, so we treat schema as clarity, not a shortcut.

Signs you need schema markup

  • Your site has no structured data, or only plugin defaults
  • Search Console reports structured data errors
  • Your business details differ across sites and directories
  • Products show no price or stock details in search
  • Search results or AI tools get your services wrong

In depth

Schema markup in depth

What structured data does, why consistent details matter, and the rules that keep it safe.

What structured data does and doesn’t do

Structured data helps search engines read your page and connect it to the right business, place and topic. Google uses it for rich results where a page qualifies, and Microsoft has said schema helps Bing’s AI understand content. It is not a ranking switch. A page with perfect markup and thin content still struggles, so we pair schema work with clear pages that answer what buyers ask.

One business, described the same way

Search engines and AI tools build a picture of your business from many sources: your site, your Google Business Profile, directories, social profiles and press. When the name, address, phone, services or credentials differ between them, that picture blurs. We make the details match, add Organization or LocalBusiness markup with sameAs links to your official profiles, and keep one clear record of the facts.

The rules we follow

Google’s structured data guidelines are clear: markup must describe content visitors can see and must not mislead, and reviews a business publishes about itself don’t earn review stars. Spammy markup can lead to a manual action that removes rich results. We write JSON-LD into your templates, test it, and keep it in step with the page as your content changes.

FAQ

Questions about schema markup services, answered

What do schema markup services include?

An audit of your current structured data, a plan for each page type, JSON-LD for your organization, location, services, products and FAQs, testing in Google’s tools and monitoring in Search Console.

Will schema markup get us rich results?

It can make pages eligible, but Google decides what to show and changes the list over time. FAQ rich results, for example, stopped appearing in 2026. We mark up what fits your pages and tell you which features are realistic.

Does schema help with AI search?

It helps machines read your facts accurately, and Microsoft has said Bing uses schema to understand content. Google says no special markup is needed for its AI features. Clear content and consistent business details matter more than any single tag.

Is schema markup a ranking factor?

Not directly. Structured data helps search engines understand your pages and can change how they appear, which may lift clicks. Rankings still depend on content, relevance and links.

Can you add schema to WordPress, Shopify or Webflow?

Yes. We add JSON-LD in your theme, templates or custom code fields, so the markup updates with the page. Plugins help, but we check what they output and fill the gaps.
